Ridge Racer Unbounded dated

Boundaries breaking in March.

Namco Bandai has given a solid release date for upcoming Ridge Racer title, Ridge Racer Unbounded. 

Developed by BugBear, the game takes the series in a very different direction, emphasising destructive scenery and gritty neon visuals, as I discovered with my hands-on with the game a couple of months ago.

There'll be a story-based single player mode in which players have to impress Kara Shindo, the leader of the Unbounded gang, to earn street cred in Shatter Bay - I'm not making this up - and it will feature plenty of destruction-based racing.

It's due for release on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC in March 2012; Europe gets in on March 2nd, whilst the US has to wait until March 6th.
