Still northern, still warlike.

Its the Penny Arcade expo, and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment are keen to show off the latest stuff from their games. And one of those games is, of course, Lord of the Rings: War in the North.

War In the North, for those that can't remember, is the Snowblind-developed co-op action RPG that promises brutal combat and an original storyline and characters, whilst using the film license. These new screens show off some of the barren landscapes that the players will be able to explore, though WBIE hasn't yet revealed which lands these will be. Our guess is they look a bit like the North Downs or south Angmar.

War in the North is in development for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

Did you know...?

It's possible to skip rescuing Deckard Cain in Diablo II, despite the quest's mandatory status. If you don't go back to Tristram to fetch the old dude by the end of Act I, he'll be rescued by the rogues, and you'll have to pay a fee for him to identify your items, which is normally a free service.
