Are you eggsited?

Classic CodeMasters puzzle / platform hero of yesteryear, the boxing-gloved and booted Egg,  Dizzy, is set to make a return next month.

It will come as a HD remastering of 1991 classic Dizzy Prince of the Yolkfolk, and has been developed by DNA Interactive and original director Paul Ranson. It'll be coming to iOS and Android devices on 9th December, or as CodeMasters are referring to it, Egg-mergence day. They also express some regret that it won't be available on Eggsbox. Groan.

Dizzy was originally hatched in 1987 by the Oliver Twins, his return has long been awaited. “It always astounds us what a loyal fan base Dizzy still has,” says Philip Oliver, co-creator. “Even after all these years people remember Dizzy fondly and it’s great to see him return for his older fans and introduce him to a new generation of gamers.”

Prince of the Yolkfolk sees dastardly wizard Zaks up to his old tricks, trapping Dizzy's girlfriend Daisy in a castle in the sky. And it all begins with Dizzy locked in a cave guarded by a fierce troll.

Did you know...?

It's possible to skip rescuing Deckard Cain in Diablo II, despite the quest's mandatory status. If you don't go back to Tristram to fetch the old dude by the end of Act I, he'll be rescued by the rogues, and you'll have to pay a fee for him to identify your items, which is normally a free service.
